Directors and senior managers of Citrus Australia – the industry peak body of the citrus sector – will visit citrus growing regions throughout the country in February to consult growers on a proposed national restructuring of the industry.
“The Australian citrus industry is at a crossroads,” said Tania Chapman, Chair of Citrus Australia. “We need to make dramatic changes to the structure of our industry, cutting red tape, reducing duplication and cost, and making better decisions on how and where to invest our levies to provide the best returns."
