Citrus Australia appoints new CEO
11 August 2017
Citrus Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Nathan Hancock as their new CEO.
Nathan will assume responsibilities at the end of the year and will succeed Judith Damiani who will be stepping down from the position she has held since 2001.
Nathan has been part of the Citrus Australia team for nearly seven years as Quality and Market Information Manager and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in citrus and agriculture. In his current role Nathan has built strong relationships across the national and international citrus industry and across the supply chain.
Nathan completed a bachelor degree in Agribusiness Horticulture at Curtin University in Western Australia. He began in horticulture as an agronomist and merchandise manager with an agricultural inputs company in WA and before joining the Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia (DAFWA). It was with DAFWA that he began his involvement with the citrus industry as industry development officer.
Citrus Australia Chair Tania Chapman said that Nathan has shown real dedication and passion for the growers and his work which has assisted in the growth of the citrus industry.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of leading Citrus Australia during this exciting time of growth in the industry and am grateful for the solid foundation Judith has laid. Judith has led the industry through some very tough periods, I admire and respect her leadership.” Nathan said.
Nathan will relocate to Mildura in October and will work with Judith to ensure a seamless transition.
